Saturday Jan 11th

We still had another 400 miles to reach Dillon Colorado. When we took off it was 14 degrees and while the roadways were clear, there was plenty of ice on the cars and trees. Starting this final part of the trip is the most boring. For 300 miles, the only thing you see are the farmlands. It is only until you get near Denver, does the landscape start to change. From Denver to the mountains it is about 85 miles. As we approach the Eisenhower tunnel, it started to snow. This slowed the remaining 10 miles to a crawl. However, once we got thru the tunnel and down into Dillon, it was only very light snow.
We arrived at the condo around 2pm and started to unpack the car. Thank goodness the condo had a elevator. We completely unpacked and relaxed to a cold beer and a glass of red wine and watched the playoff games.
